I was in Indianapolis this weekend with family and happened to take an image I liked of the Hard Rock Cafe downtown. After having the chance to view the image I again decided to have a little fun with Photoshop. So the end result is a combination of some filters, effects, and colorizing simply to add a different graphical perspective. I used some similar techniques to that of the Rustic Chicago Composition I did a while back. Also, the original image can be viewed on my Flickr photostream.

I was in Chicago the other night and on my way in from the western suburbs I snapped an image of the Sears Tower with an elevated platform for the electric train line in the foreground. Once I had a chance to sit down and look at the image I decided I would stylize it a bit and see what I could come up with. The platform was a bit rusty, so I decided to build upon and strengthen that look throughout the composition.

I had some time today to play around with good old Photoshop and came up with an interesting “water effect” composition after a little bit of trial and error. It had been a while since I had the time to simply do something for fun with being busy with school and work, but I hope to try and exercise the creative juices more often in the future. Plus, I always have fun when I sit down and try something new while hopefully creating an interesting design in the end.
