Electronics Are Fun

What are the chances? -

My Zune is currently in for repair as it just decided to stop working for some reason. It was a bit of a shock to the system as I had quickly become accustomed to having all my music and media with me and immediately accessible. It was perfect for work, so hopefully it will be back soon and in working order. It’s going on three weeks and I think I’m in withdrawal or something. I have heard it could be up to a month or more for a repair, but hopefully it will not take this long.

I will be sending in my Xbox 360 for the second time in two years now, also. The red ring of death has struck again, but I do have a second 360 now as a backup at least. So if it were not for technical problems with my Microsoft devices I guess I would be bored, which I would prefer at this point in time. This will probably be a month long process as well.

It was bound to happen! -

HD DVD is officially closing shop which is sad to me as an early supporter of the technology; though I have no regrets given I have a great selection of HD media to play. I will probably be adding more to it as prices on HD DVD content continue to drop, which is a good thing in my opinion. The technology still functions, so why not continue to use it, right?

The next step will be going Blu-ray and most likely via the PS3, which I have yet to purchase. I knew I would be picking one up at some point, just was waiting for the right time. So coming soon perhaps (a price drop would be nice). So are any HD DVD supporters getting ready to do the same?
