Alright, over the past month or so I have finished up Orange Box on the 360 which is by far one of the greatest series or compilations of games ever released. It was amazingly cool to be able to play through all these great games in succession and rekindle that Half-Life flame yet again. And if you have not played Portal and Team Fortress 2 yet, you are definitely missing out on some good times.

Now onto Halo 3 which was of course has been the buzz of the gaming world for that last month or so. I found this third installment in the franchise to be a great experience, especially if you take advantage of the up to four-player co-op for the campaign mode. Great visual and cinematic experiences await you with this title, not to mention the hearty multiplayer component as well. With many new additions with regards to maps, game types, and customization options, you can’t go wrong.

Next on to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which I just finished up the other day with regards to the campaign mode. I also may have made a slight oversight in playing this game on the Hardened difficulty as some of the levels can become more than challenging to complete. This does kind of take some of the fun out of it, so my suggestion is that a run through one the normal difficulty may be a great place to start and the move on from there as you choose. Overall, this is one of the best games in the franchise and well worth playing through even more than one time. Also, the online component to the game is just as much fun to play as it was in the public beta. So hit this one up if you are looking for some more FPS action after Halo 3 and Orange Box.

I have also been playing some PGR4 as well, but still have lots of racing to do. This game was really not on my list of must plays, but after receiving it as a gift for my birthday I was more than willing to give it a go. My experience so far has been positive as arcade racers are typically a blast to play for me, as a long time fan of the Need for Speed series. The game definitely looks great and now that I have made a bit more progress with the career mode it only continues to get better and better. An impressive lineup of tracks, cars, and settings the world over make for an engaging racing experience for certain.

What’s up next for me? Well that would be Assassins Creed. This is it for me until Christmas I think, as hopefully a couple more games will be coming my way for the Holiday.

What about you?

Game on…
