Over the weekend Julie and I took a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. It was a perfect day for a little bit of a road trip and simple few hour long getaway. We arrived at the museum a little early and it was such a nice day, we decided to walk to the lakefront for a while, given we had some time to burn. This also gave us the opportunity to take a few pictures and just relax for a while.

This time around, Star Wars artist Tsuneo Sanda is celebrating the 30 year anniversary of Star Wars with two new paintings - “Star Wars Saga” and “Shadow of Evil ‘07“. Both are wonderful works and it is always good to see the latest from Tsuneo, as his work is always amazing!

This is something new that I am going to try out and see how I like. Tumblr is essentially a tool for quickly sharing short blurbs about pretty much anything and everything. It is designed around a simple sharing process for content that is not long winded enough to constitute a more traditional blog post. You can learn more here if you like.

I took this image of the early morning sky the other day and the following composition is the result. Not too much post processing here, as the colors and levels have only been optimized slightly to create some additional contrast and balance. The sky can most assuredly make for an interesting artistic canvas and I feel this is reflected here. The comp is very subtle and light, but offers just enough visual presence.
