Bon Jovi & Nickelback Concert

The concert crew (Julie, Bob and I) ventured to yet another rock show this week and saw Bon Jovi and Nickelback at Soldiers Field, Chicago. I brought along the camera to capture the event and of course I have to share the pics with everyone, enjoy!

I wish I could say this concert was the coolest rock show ever, but unfortunately terrible sound quality and a general lack of volume left a lot to be desired. We still had a lot of fun hanging out and listening to the tunes though. And I must admit it was very cool to hear 50,000 plus people singing Wanted Dead or Alive!

Yeah, it was really disappointing the sounds was so bad, but at least the pics made it look like an awesome time. I will admit hearing 50,000 fans singing at the top of their lungs like that was pretty flippin’ awesome!

Yep, the experience could have been awesome had the sound been better though we did make the best of it and that is what matters…

Hi Dave, thanks for sharing your thoughts and I’m glad to hear it was a loud and rockin’ good time for you at the show in Scotland. We have seen Bon Jovi numerous times before and they have always put on a great show, but for some reason the sound in the open air Football stadium was not all that great and just to mild for a rock show. It was still fun and it turned out to be a great evening to be outside for a concert after a little bit of rain.

Thanks again posting and keep on rockin’ over there!

We saw Bon Jovi w/Nickelback on 7/27/06 at Gillette Stadium and the sound was horrendous. We’ve seen him there once before and there were no problems, so I’d have to blame it on the ferocious wind blowing the sound away from us. As a result, there was a lot less audience participation than I’ve seen previously, but it’s hard to sing along when you can’t tell one song from another, the sound was so poor. Oh well…guess I’ll just have to see him a 5th time!

Thanks for sharing your experience with the Bon Jovi concert in New England and I guess it is hard to get the best sound in some of these large stadiums. If the audience was not getting into it at all then it must have been bad. We have seen Bon Jovi numerous times and the show has always been great (except this last time) and of course we will see him again next time he comes to Chicago.

Hi!I was at Bon Jovi’s tour in Hull, England, which was great! I’m a keen phototographer and took my camara along, I got some awsome pictures. I had a look at Bon Jovi’s official website to have a look at their tour pics, but could not see any of Hull’s gig. So I was wondering how I could get my pictures out there to show everyone! Might be a little cheeky however these pictures need to be seen by some Bon Jovi fans! Also by Bon Jovi themselves, I’m sure they would love them!! Can you help?
    Thanks
P.S one other quick question! How do you get back stage tickets?! You know at the gig’s when you see the people actually on either side of the stage? How do they get there?!!

  • Chris Allen Says:

Mari, thanks for posting! Glad to hear the concert in England was awesome. I use Flickr to post my photos and share with the world, so this would be my recommendation for getting your photos seen. A social photo sharing service is the best way to go in my opinion. Feel free to post a link in the comments here to your photo’s when you get them online. And as far as the back stage passes go, I really have no idea how to acquire them exactly. They may have been give aways from local radio stations or the like. Take care…
