A Busy Week of Gaming

My Xbox 360 Image TwoIt has been a few days sense I last posted, so I figured a quick update was in order. Well I have spent a good portion of the six days I had off for the Holiday playing the good ole’ Xbox 360 and it has been a blast! I have not spent this much time gaming in a while and it was all I had hoped it could be. The next generation of gaming has indeed arrived and hopefully it will keep on getting better.

The launch titles that I have played so far, which include - Call of Duty 2, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Quake 4 are all amazing in their individual ways. Call of Duty 2 is just a completely encompassing experience as it indeed surrounds you as it draws you to the WWII battlefront. This game has amazing visuals, game play and amazing sound all of which come together beautifully. NFS: MW is a top notch racer with amazing visuals and an intense sense of speed. Quake 4 is equally as impressive with regards to game play, graphics and sound. No doubt all of these games are worth playing and I still have a lot more to accomplish with them all.

Update -

I found this article that gives an in depth review of the Xbox 360. One of the best articles I have read so far. It really gives you an idea of just how powerful this system is and how the launch games are not even pushing any where near the limits of the system.

It was definitely a great week for gaming!!! The system is better than I even expected (and expectations were insanely high) and the games are amazing. The next generation of gaming is really here and the best part is that it’s only getting started!

I must agree! There is no doubt that I had high expectations for this system and it is simply amazing how far they have come in the past 4 years with regards to console gaming. This box is just as powerful as most mainstream PC’s, add to that a big screen HDTV and Dolby Digital surround sound and you have got the ultimate gaming experience! It is only going to get better from here…
